You and your suspicious mind

I saw Los Pacaminos, the Tex/Mex band featuring Paul Young over the weekend. Great entertainment. Catch them where you can.

Elvis chatting up the barman. He says, Love me, tender.

Have your prayers been answered Michael?

Spice Girls reunion: Will it be the same without Posh?

It will certainly sound the same.

I've been ordered to stop talking about Mel C. Things will never be the same again.

If I'm nor working I try to listen to Pop Master on Ken Bruce's Radio 2 show at 10.30. The maximum you can score is 39 and there are two competitors each day.

Today I got two scores of 30 which is my best for ages plus I got all the tie-break questions. The two on radio today only got 6 points each.

I scored 21 on both of today's. 30 on the first contestant's yesterday (try it on the iplayer if you didn't hear it). 36 is my best ever score in the 7 years since I (partially) retired. Many zeros & 3s over the years too. The questions mainly need to be pre-80s for me to have any chance.

There were a few up to date ones which I luckily knew today but mainly I go from about 1963 to 1993(?)

'Don't you forget about me...' Who sang that?

I went to a charity concert last night for the RNLI. There was a member of Hayseed Dixie and having heard of them previously I never realised that originally it was a play on words and they did Bluegrass versions of AC/DC songs.

The member in question is Hippy Joe Hymas who is very accomplished in playing the Mandolin, Guitar and many other stringed instruments. He also played some songs with his partner Jolene who has a wonderful voice.

Pete Shelley RIP.

Pete Shelley RIP.

One of the greats. I hung out on their tour bus for a few hours several years ago and he was a really nice guy.
