Listened to various pieces on Classic FM this morning while on the train and it fitted perfectly with the sun making the endless snow covered fields sparkle. From the Cotswolds to the Midlands there wasn't a field not covered in snow.

As I've sorted out all my vinyl and got them (almost) all in Alphabetical order I decided to play a few I haven't heard for a long time.

Album by Jigsaw featuring Sky High - a brilliant pop record

Zabriskie Point (soundtrack) (I'm currently working my way through PF's back catalogue)

Maksim: ''Chuzhoy''

Great song. Hug

Commando by Ramones

Great song, great video.

I never thought it possible but this might overtake Underneath The Tree by Kelly Clarkson as my favourite recent Christmas sing song. Sia has an amazing voice which matches perfectly with the theme of the video and it also has Henry Winkler and J.B. Smoove in it to boot.

I was cynical at first and now I am in no doubt whatsoever.

The song of 2017 is..........

This is the Life on Mars for 2017.

Sorry that it isn't British but it's immense and he can do it, very understated, live:

Tillman suffers from severe depression and anxiety, and currently self-medicates with micro-doses of LSD.

Off the top of my head, my song for 2017 also has a 1970s vibe: Telegram Sam/Metal Guru.

I like this live version best.

The lad himself, and Bowie's mate/rival.

Well, Sparks had a new album this year so I suppose it all fits.

Shame about the SPOTY debacle though.

I'm listening to the movie ''Home Alone 2'' while holding my terrified dog. Why do people still use stupid fire crackers? Selfish c**ts.

Just saw the Beatles musical 'Across the Universe'. It's great but they kinda made it easy for themselves, calling the characters Jude, Michelle, Lucy, Rita, Sadie, Prudence, Julia, Martha etc... That's cheating.

I'm listening to the laughs and giggles of people who went to www.youtube.com/Born4Comedy many weird, wacky, fun and crazy videos there. I'm sure you all will love it, adults and kids alike. Comedy is happiness. *coughs* "shameless promotion" lol but seriously check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Feed the birds as I'm watching Mary Poppins.

The greatest festive track ever recorded is of course The Spice Girls' cover of Sleigh Ride. That sentence also works without the word 'festive' in it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J304LesZjA Nothing like getting into an old Spice Girl's B-side. You can't beat it.

Great 80s song but the video is slightly odd. It was made in the style of the musical Cats.
