We've just launched a website to help comedians find gigs and help comedy fans and bookers discover more of the acts they like. If you're looking for a comedian for anything (open mic, professional gig, corporate party, acting role etc) - you can add your event and list the kind of performers you're looking for in seconds. The site will then notify anyone suitable that may be interested. Comedians can offer to perform in a few clicks and it's quick and easy to book the ones you like!
It also does loads of clever stuff like organizing car sharing, showing if your favorite acts are available or in the area for a double and listing local performers in case you need to book someone last minute. It's only been launched a couple of weeks and we've had really good feedback from our (mostly UK based) users so far. It's much more streamlined than dealing with loads of emails and lists if you run a lot of gigs or perform a lot, and will hopefully make the industry much more accessible for people looking for opportunities.
