Twenty years after they broke up, the Geraldine Fibbers (my favorite band) recorded a new song for the vinyl reissue of their debut album. I'm happy as a clam.

I see that the top 10 songs on Smooth Radio are as follows:-
1. Careless Whisper - George Michael
2. A Different Corner - George Michael
3. Someone Like You - Adele
4. Hello - Adele
5. Dancing Queen - Abba *
6. I Will Always Love you - Whitney Houston
7. Make you feel my love - Adele
8. You're the first etc - Barry White
9. Don't let the song go down on me - George & Elton
10. Rolling in the Deep - Adele
Thank goodness I don't ever listen to that station.
* The only one I would choose to listen to!

No 9.I always thought Elton was singing "Don't let your son go down on me"
Thought it was a bit odd but never interested enough to investigate further.

An interesting list:

Pink Flag is still my only Wire album. It's time for me to work my way through their catalogue.

You've got a lot to work through, Gordon! May I suggest you start with two stunning albums from the late eighties, The Ideal Copy and A Bell is a Cup. Unlike anything else around at the time, or since, come to that. Utterly original. Thanks to Horseradish for the Eardrum Buzz link!

No one remembers Talk Talk. It's a shame.

I thought that was the Detroit Spinners, One of my favourite Soul/R & B/disco groups.
