This year you can nominate the ten pages that are read: it doesn't have to be the first ten pages.

Anyone thinking of entering?

Great, I'll be in by Wednesday.

I think I will have a go this time! It's just a case of deciding what to send, then how much work I need to do to get it up to a standard I'm happy with, how many motivational coffees needed to get me there in time, etc. etc. But yeah -do enjoy a challenge!

Anyone thinking of entering?

I noticed that fewer than one percent of entries to the Drama Writers Room got through the the final stage. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/writersroom/entries/b3818f47-6dfa-499e-8124-e17a67e2b07e

In spite of this, I've got an idea that I'm going to try and work up to 6000 words before the deadline.
I suppose word-count-wise it's the equivalent of 12 or so Newsjack sketches, and I managed to get two of them written each week, so it seems doable.

It's great fun reading the comments on the WritersRoom Page.
People are such f**king idiots.
The "choose your 10-pages" is a good call.
The nature of things means most of the entries will be pilots, so the first 10 pages are always a bloody nightmare.
