The all in one consolidated RIP thread Page 10

RIP

Half heard the end of Sounds of the Seventies and it didn't click what Johnnie Walker was saying. RIP.

Frank Delaney.
RIP

He had a radio show on Radio 4 in the 80's interviewing all the top authors of the time.
Always interesting.

RIP John Surtees

When I had my first BSA Bantam I was going to be another John Surtees but lack of skill and fear of painful injury possible death soon disabused me of that fantasy.

Ah, the BSA Bantam. :) Yes, RIP Mr Surtees

RIP Tony Haygarth http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0371304/?ref_=tt_cl_t2

Perhaps not a familiar name but a very recognizable face.
He was in Rosie a police sitcom from the 70/80's written by Roy Clarke.
Something I vaguely remember but I had a sex life in those days and didn't watch much TV.

I remember him well.

Rosie seemed a very underrated show.

RIP.

I agree, thought P.C. Wilmot was the stand out character in Rosie. Always good value. Very sorry to hear he has passed.

Indeed. A fine comedy actor.

Brian Matthew has died, age 88. Those of a certain age will have grown up with his presenting radio & tv pop music shows in the 60s and, in more recent years, "Sounds of the Sixties" on Radio 2 on Saturday mornings. R.I.P.

This is the second time he has been announced as dead, but it seems it is STILL not correct - from 19 minutes ago :-

The BBC's earlier announcement that Brian Matthews had passed away was not correct, they have announced. He remains critically ill. pic.twitter.com/e3NvzYEa1R

Sorry about that - only reporting what the BBC had told me.
