Does anyone know if the new version of this is still coming out? There's a lot of talk about it, from back in 2009, but nothing recent. It was meant to be getting made by Warner Brothers, but it isn't on their schedule of releases for this year. I'm only asking because I've written something a bit similar to it, in one of my sitcom episodes.

First I've heard of it. You know who'd be good in it though - that Zak Effron.

Original is far too good to be remade.

Cancelled. The Richard Pryor estate owns it under his Indigo Productions and are not letting it go.
