The Who are releasing a sooperdooper deluxe version of their debut album, My Generation. Multiple discs of remixes, demos, outtakes and alternate takes make for an expensive package, so I'll probably skip it. The highlights are 3 of Pete Townshend's early demos for songs which have never been released. Here's one of them:

Just bought the new Phil Collins compilation, The Singles, the three disc version.
I'm not exactly a diehard Collins fan, BUT, I think he wrote some really good pop songs during his heydays and made good coverversions of 60/70s soulsongs.

Phil nailed it on Jimmy Fallon's show:

He's come out of retirement, and appeared on the Jonathan Ross show the other day. He looks a bit shot at, and uses a walking stick.

I think he's had back problems over the last decade or so. He looks like someone's uncle doing karaoke, but his voice seems to be surprisingly intact.

I've got a bit more money to spend nowadays but I really don't see the point of these collections of basically one album, remixes and outtakes etc for about £80. Yes - I'm intrigued by what they leave out by a think about £30 is more than enough for something you'll probably only listen to a couple of times.

Yeah, I couldn't care less about the books and collectibles that they include. These days I don't really feel bad if I download a pirated copy of an album I've already purchased 4 or 5 times.

It's even more frustrating when they say that the only way to get the new songs is to buy the set with all the frills, only to release a cheaper CD-only collection a few months later.

I've known about this for a while. I don't know if I'll get to see them but I'm considering Brighton and Guildford.

I've already Pledged for the new album and ordered my 40th anniversary picture disc of New Rose.

I bought the new Leonard Cohen album on Saturday. Excellent!

I went to see the film "The Fall".

A bit of a con because I didn't see Mark E Smith in it anywhere.
