Goodnight Sweetheart Page 19

Someone on the Facebook group just told me that they've seen a short one when Gary goes into the Royal Oak and says, "Welcome to the sixties!".

Yes there was the very brief clip used in a larger trailer for the season as a whole, but not a specific trailer for Goodnight Sweetheart itself.

Ah good, thanks

If the story isn't "Gary arrives back to the present day and finds Ron married to Yvonne", the writers should be shot.

But Ron got an axe in his back in Hatchet Harry's office

"Seventeen years on and living in 1962, Gary realises he has the opportunity to witness himself being born. On arrival at the maternity hospital, he meets his own father waiting anxiously, and when the baby arrives tells the midwife that he's its uncle. As she hands him the precious bundle the laws of physics go berserk as the long-lost time portal is thunderously re-opened and Gary finds himself catapulted into 2016. Writers Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran extend the narrative of their original time-travelling sitcom, reuniting Nicholas Lyndhurst, Elizabeth Carling and many of the original cast. Part of the Landmark Comedy Sitcom season".

God I hope this is better than Are You Being Served?, which was ok but I doubt will get a full run. Goodnight Sweetheart was my favourite TV show and I just hope it gets enough ratings that the BBC give it a full run.

After a sensational recording of our new one-off Goodnight Sweetheart last weekend, we learned yesterday from the BBC that the programme is to be transmitted on Friday, September 2, at nine o'clock. So at last, after hundreds of emails from all over the world, asking us to bring back Gary Sparrow and the team, we have answered your call.

That's NEXT FRIDAY at 9pm folks.

Is there a list showing when each of the Landmark Comedy Sitcom season programmes are being shown.

I cant find any such list on the BBC website, so they are missing out on getting bigger audiences there.

There is not a specific list of dates for the whole season, but there are the following pages, plus the individual guides: https://www.comedy.co.uk/guide/group/sitcom_season/ https://www.comedy.co.uk/tv/on_air/ https://www.comedy.co.uk/tv/on_air/start_dates/

Goodnight sweetheart was hardly a classic, so I'm perplexed with its rotting corpse has been exhumed!

Wow, Ron has changed a lot, I wouldn't have recognised him.

Stupid laugh track.

The weirdly over the top audience cackling at two gay men holding hands was a bit odd.

But I rather enjoyed the programme.

Yes. Loved it. Nice re-introduction to the characters. Calling the dog Ron and walking in on someone on toilet was class. Roll on a full series. So much potential.

Somewhat enjoyed it but at the same time something was niggling the whole way through which made me not able to fully enjoy it, like I loved the Porridge episode. Didn't much care for the teenager. That said, Reg was probably the best part, and I liked the Adele song.

...walking in on someone on toilet was class.

Reminded me of the shower scene in the Red Dwarf episode "Stasis Leak".

I loved it. I hope the BBC gives it a full series it has a load of potential.
