The Sketch Show on DVD? Page 2

As much as I love the Israeli sketch show, i think i'll stick with the british version.

Sorry, can't remember exactly, but I think between £15 and £20.

Did that include a customs charge?

Yes. On the website when I bought it the UK price was clearly displayed - I'm not sure why it is no longer there.

If you're not desperate to own the DVDs, lots of the eps are on youtube.

I've finally gone and bought the dvd from ebay. No customs charge as it was only £13! It's kinda weird that it runs as one long episode, but it's brilliantly funny. Now to try and locate the second series!

I used to like this programme as well.

I have just "discovered" The Sketch Show with Lee Mack / Tim Vine etc. from 2001 to 2004.

It was mentioned in Lee Mack's Wiki page and I must admit I had never heard of it.

They made 2 series, and even though series 1 won a BAFTA they never showed all of series 2 due to poor viewing figures.

I do wonder if the title may have been its downfall, to generic, and also the fact it was on ITV (the graveyard for comedy). It may have got more long term success if it had been on BBC.

I found many (all?) of the episodes on YouTube.

I have watched series 1 episode 1 and found it very funny. Will watch the rest.

I particularly liked the "jockey" sketch near the start (Lee Mack says it is one of his favourites) and also the sketch at the end set in the recoding studio.

I thought that Jockey joke was one of the worst of the series personally. I did love the series though.

Series 2 is about, but it's a little disappointing without Ronni Ancona, still funny mind.

Also, might be worth noting that Karen Taylor did her own sketch show years later - Touch Me, I'm Karen Taylor. It wasn't as good in my opinion, but still had its highlights. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Touch_Me,_I%27m_Karen_Taylor

Karen Taylor? That name rings a bell! Angelic

I love The Sketch Show, and am amazed actually that with Lee Mack and Tim Vine's bigger profile in recent years both series haven't been released (though I have series 1 on an Australian DVD). My favourite is the Sign Language sketch.
