Which are the best TV and Radio channels for British comedy and why?

It depends what you're looking for.

Radio-wise, new is Radio 4, and classic/old/etc is Radio 7.

TV-wise, it's a toss-up between BBC One and BBC Three for new, and for classic/old/etc would be UKTV Gold, UKTV Drama, and ITV 3.

I'm a big Channel 4 fan, but then again it does have lot of American, as opposed to British, comedy.

I agree with Aaron and Kirk, I watch/listen to all of those mentioned. I also watch US sitcoms on Paramount.

I was just watching ofah (only fools and horses) on uktv gold. it was the 1988 xmas special that i had never seen -very funny!!!!
