Saturday Night Live

I used to watch this on ITV 4, on Saturday nights, but haven't seen it for ages. Is it still on? If not, does anyone know if/when it's coming back?

It's on every Saturday night in North America still. Ellen Page is on this week.

No, it's not still on, and from what I've seen, let's hope they fill their schedules with Two Pints.

Saturday Night Live hasn't been worth watching since the 90's. What is worth watching can be found at the SNL main website archives.
Do you guys get Mad TV? Talk about crap sketch comedy. Again anything worth watching from them can be found on Youtube.

No, we dont get Mad TV; Ive never seen the magazine on sale either; though perhaps its available in specialist comic stores.

SNL brought me Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Eddie Murphy, ect... and for that I'm gratefully happy.

It's available in large newsagents and magazine specialists. Most Borders branches stock it - and there's at least two different version available in the small Oxford News newsagents, 77-78 Oxford Street. :D

Well Ive never seen it, and Ive been in at least three different shops that sell magazines in my lifetime. So there.

I used to have a 'Best Of' Eddie Murphy on SNL video, now sadly lost. Worth checking out just how good he was at a young age. His 'Black History Minute' sketches were brilliant.

Oh yea! I loved his Mr. Rogers skit he did. When we were kids we used to constantly quote it not even being fully sure what it all meant.
In my opinion they need a major shake up in the casting of SNL. Scrap them all and start from scratch. Hire a couple of good scouts to travel the world and find some funny folks because what they have now is just plain unfunny. Well...except Andy Andy Samberg..but he's really only funny when he does his own little projects on the show.

I watched the best of Steve Martin, I LOVE Steve Martin but did not laugh once.

:(

SNL sounds good but I've never seen any good sketches.

Really? I liked him but I grew up watching it as a kid (reruns but still). If you didn't like that try and get your hands on early years stuff or even the 90's cast and crew with Adam Sandler and Chris Farley years. That stuff was great too.

I never really understood the aim of this programme?

To entertain Americans. Not the hardest task. Flashing light and a slightly misshapen ball should do it.
