Get a set of questions to help you expand e.g

a) Expand on the background story of the joke e.g is it about you or a friend
or a celebrity?. give more lead up so that someone unfamiliar with the person will
empathise/feel attached.
b) pretend you are one of the characters in the joke.
How do you feel?
What would they do next?
What would you do next?
c) Imagine what different members of audience are thinking
e.g old guy leering in the front, lads at the back chatting amongst themselves
married couple, someone who finds it really funny, someone who hates the joke.
