I think the length is part of its charm for me. And serves the conceit well.

A little shorter wouldn't hurt, but you need the strange rhythms and pauses to make it funny - a 1 minute edit would kill it, I'd say.

I guess a punchline might lift it, because the peak of the comedy is the Proust bit, but I quite like the power switch.

Yep, really liked that too. Lots of different bits going on here. Awkward character lols, occasional surreal flourishes and the deliberate mispronounciation and broken rhythm are really well performed and edited.
