We're very proud that 3 out of 4 of our finalists have been contacted by prodcos. It's a vindication we think of our policy of working with writers to polish their scripts, rather than just staging the 4 best scripts regardless of whether they're ready or not.

Just want to say thanks to everyone who was involved in today's Sitcom Mission Showcase at the New Diorama Theatre. We're really proud of all our writers and are hugely grateful to our actors for an excellent show.

And the winner of The Sitcom Mission 2013 is...

Girlband by Those Three Girls

One of the judges said, "I didn't want it to end." We are proud.

Congrats to them and good luck on the next steps on the journey.

We're going to take a nice long break... hang on, we're teaching our 8-week course Introduction to Sitcom Writing at City Academy starting next Wednesday.

Congrats again to all the writers. And thanks, we had a blast. Let's do it again next year.

We are delighted to have won!

Thank you to Sitcom Mission's Simon & Declan for all their help and support. The competition was challenging but an incredibly rewarding process.

The standard was extremely high and it was a pleasure to work with such talented writers and actors.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us get GIRLBAND this far. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Fabulous day at the Comedy Conference. Some stellar guests that have left me still buzzing.

Congrats to Mark, Aaron, Dave Cohen etc.

.

I know! I bet you'd never thought you'd meet that Declan Hill, did you?

Wouldn't praise for the Big Comedy Conference make more sense on this thread?

I am guessing it was rubbish they didn't ask me to give a key note lecture!

You're absolutely right, of course. Have copied it into that forum.

Thanks.
