When actor Foster Twelvetrees is engaged to provide entertainment at a country house, he hopes for a relatively easy few days' work.

Upon arrival, however, Foster quickly realises that the house is perhaps not quite as it seems. The family are welcoming but have a distinctly odd manner about them, and appear far too preoccupied with the issue of an impending inheritance.

Unfortunately for Foster, the evening just gets weirder and weirder, and weirder!
