A Serial Killer's Guide To Life

2020 British comedy film about a woman unwittingly on a killing spree. Stars Katie Brayben, Poppy Roe, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Sian Clifford, Tomiwa Edun and others.

Producer, actor & editor Poppy Roe part financed the film using savings from acting in a host of UK and international TV commercials.

Director Staten Cousins Roe's car broke down the day before filming began so he had to use the main character's red Mazda to drive to and from set - a car he'd bought only weeks before for £200.

The film screened as part of the Edinburgh International Film festival's 'Work in Progress' spotlight, had it's World Premiere at FrightFest Film Festival London, and will release in 2020 following the end of its world festival tour.

A Serial Killer's Guide To Life has a gender-balanced cast and crew, with a goal of a minimum 50% female representation both in front and behind the camera, which was achieved.

In the words of producer and main actor (who plays Val Stone, the psychopathic serial killer) Poppy Cousins Roe: "The film was shot in 2 weeks in 28 locations and is a truly independent, home grown satirical comedy - satirising the multi million pound business of "self help" - so we though it fitting it should launch at the start of a new year! A new, bolder, bloodier you...!"
