Salmon Fishing In The Yemen trivia
Salmon Fishing In The Yemen is based on Paul Torday's comic novel of the same name.
The Scottish estate featured as the Sheikh's Highlands retreat in the film is the same as that used for early-2000s BBC One comedy drama Monarch Of The Glen, Ardverikie House and Estate.
The salmon are delivered in their water tanks to the Yemeni river bed by military Chinook helicopters. The Chinook is also the name of a type of salmon.
