The cast of Four Weddings And A Funeral are reuniting to make a new short film to be shown on Red Nose Day 2019.
Richard Curtis, who wrote the original film, has created the new short especially for Comic Relief.
The charity confirms: "We are delighted to confirm One Red Nose Day And A Wedding is currently in production. The short film will reunite the cast of Four Weddings And A Funeral for the first time in 25 years."
One Red Nose Day And A Wedding will feature original cast members Hugh Grant, Andie MacDowell, Kristin Scott Thomas, John Hannah, Rowan Atkinson, James Fleet, David Haig, Sophie Thompson, David Bower, Robin McCaffrey, Anna Chancellor, Rupert Vansittart, Simon Kunz, Sara Crowe and Timothy Walker.
The charity teases: "They will be joined in the short film by some very special guest stars."
Director Mike Newell is also returning to direct this new instalment, which picks up the story 25 years after the original film.
Richard Curtis comments: "We're all definitely older - I suspect no wiser. It's been really enjoyable working out what's happened to all the characters - and now they get back together, one last time, for the 5th wedding. Where, as usual, not everything will go as planned."
Comic Relief is currently running a competition in which fans can visit the set, join the cast for breakfast, and get a walk-on part. Donate via givergy.com/comicrelief before the midnight on the 9th December to be in with a chance of winning.
