General Sir Giles Futtock is surprised to receive a telegram from his niece informing him that she will be visiting him on his country estate in Wiltshire with a small group of relatives for the weekend. Nevertheless, he and his staff quickly set about preparing for their arrival.

Collecting them from the nearby railway station on the Friday, the group also manage to take with them a Chinese businessman, whose presence amongst the party seems to go unnoticed by all!

The contingent of family and friends are soon enjoying themselves with tipsy dinners, cakes on the lawn, croquet, and a spot of swimming in the lake. Mishaps do keep on occurring, but surely no one will notice...
