As in the original Borat film, as a Jewish comic/actor, Borat's 'Kazakh' is in fact a mixture of Hebrew and nonsense, whilst Bulgarian actor Maria Bakalova as Tutar speaks Bulgarian, and others also speak in their respective native tongues.
A mini-series of outtakes was published by Amazon Prime Video in May 2021. Entitled Borat's American Lockdown & Debunking Borat, it consists of a 37-minute special of out-takes from Borat's time living in lockdown with Jerry Holleman and Jim Russell, and six shorts - approximately 7-and-a-half minutes each - debunking their beliefs and claims.
Sacha Baron Cohen reportedly spent five days living with Jerry Holleman and Jim Russell, not breaking character once.
The Kazakhstan village scenes had to be filmed in a different village to the first Borat film.
