A heavily pregnant lady was laughing so much during the first half of Alan Carr's Brighton show this week that she went in to labour.

Tessa from East Sussex, a massive Alan Carr fan, visited the loo a few times during the first half but couldn't hold on any longer when her waters broke just before the interval.

Alan Carr said via Twitter during the show: "An audience member has gone into labour during my Spexy Beast show!!! Pass me a hot towel and tongs I'm going in! Sending love to u and bump"

Tessa was whisked away to hospital and gave birth to a healthy girl later that evening. She says: "I had the baby at 12.30am last night and would've needed more than hot towels and forceps. So annoyed we missed the show, hung on as long as I could but Alan would've had to been good at catching if I stayed. That man shouldn't be so funny!"
