Hello everyone! If your reading that is or if your even here at all! You must be as your reading this now!

Ive been a fan of British Comedy ever since I can remember. My love of television started in 1995 when I began watching Coronation Street and Emmerdale. It was also then that aged four I remember watching an episode of Keeping Up Appearances The Hostess Episode. I remember Patricia Routledge as Hyacinth looking the spitting image of my nursery teacher Mrs. Valentine.

Since then although my understanding of comedy was finding it amussing as the audience where laughing at what I was seeing whether it was Frank Spencer falling over into a cot or Hyacinth Bucket climbing over a wall. I would watch reruns of whatever UKTV Gold were showing Fawlty Towers, Open All Hours, Are You Being Served?.etc I could list ever sitcom.

1998 I got a VHS set of the complete Fawlty Towers. As i live in Devon it was strange hearing places I've been to or know.

By the early 2000s my love of British comedy television sitcoms dramas, sketch shows radio, British film etc grew.

I would impatiently await the next Series of One Foot in the Grave to be released or the next Series of The Two Ronnies. As a child growing up dealing with school and trying to enjoy British comedy became tough.

I loved to watch Dick Emery on UKTV Drama. The Two Ronnies on Granada Plus alongside Classic Corrie and Classic Emmerdale. I was ecstatic and deligted when its replacement channel ITV3 finally returned both these to their schedules some almost 14 years later.

Over the years my knowledge on British television, radio and film has grown I saw John Cleese 1986 film Clockwise. In 2005 delighted a free edition with the now defunct News of The World tabloid. That went straight in the bin! I just wanted the free DVD that came in a card sleeve.

In 2005 i discovered Terry and June on Drama and loved it another DVD releases to get! I also discovered The British Sitcom Guide now obvioulsy The British Comedy Guide! A perfect place to learn of new DVD releases

April 2006 I felt annoyed that Keeping Up Appearances was available in its entirety so knowing it was in the United States so i bought the Full Bouquet Set. Along with the complete region 1 Are You Being Served? Set because it was in its entirty and uncut and the extras where better. I bought the film version and the sequel.

In late 2006 after the disappointed of October 2006 final DVD release of One Foot in the Grave ommiting the final two Christmas specials arrived as a standalone release. I was delighted to complete my One Foot collection with the finsl sixth series and 1996 and 1997 Christmas specials.

It was March 2007 then aged 15. I decided to join The British Sitcom Guide.

My sitcom collection was getting really impressive I was excited to see that more BBC gems from their archive were being relesed complete runs of shows of Morecambe and Wise and The Two Ronnies were being released in May and June respectively.

Extatic when 2 entertains releaee of Two Rons was brought forward a week from May 7 2007 to April 30 2007. Dispite joing here some almost 12 years ago ive always came here for info on whatever im interested in.
Wondering why Series 5 and 6 took forever. Alas finally completed in 2012 a year later after a delay the complete collection arrived with the two silents!

Barbara was hilarious loved Gwen Taylor as Barbara Liversage had to buy that along with nearly every Network distribution excel themselves with their ITV Studios releases.

So now 12 years later I proudly own books DVDs blu rays audio CDs etc all of Dead Ringers my favourite radio comedy sketch show. And im proud to say I have almost every sitcom film radio show in its entirety.

I always end up buying the conplete boxset after purchasing all individual releases. Yes it's 2019 at last finally complete DVD collection boxsets of Last Of The Summer Wine, Bread , Sykes Till Death Us Do Part! Sequels film etc just need a DVD release of the 1972 Alf Garnet Saga.

I'm now just awaiting a complete run of 2point4 Children and the remaining 6 Series and specials of Spitting Image and the remaining 8 Series of Beadles About! Common Network!
