Comedy Club stages table tennis tournament

The Moth Club and promoters Knock2bag are to stage the first ever table tennis tournament featuring not professional table tennis players but comedians. Comics Ray Badran and Sam Campbell are putting on the tournament on Sunday November 7th at the east London club. With commentary from Ray and Sam, plus Mark Silcox as the umpire and Freddie Meredith as the ball boy.

US remake for Friday Night Dinner, US Mum in the works

The US remake of Friday Night Dinner has been given the green light. And plans are also afoot to reshoot an American version Mum with Roseanne and Big Bang Theory star Laurie Metcalfe in the title role originally played by Lesley Manville.

It's a wonder no one thought of this before. Community service is a perfect premise for a sitcom: an opportunity to mix up characters from all walks of life in a situation they can't get out of... at least not until their sentences are served.
