Party's Over review

Setting politics aside, the personal turmoil of being forced to forge a new career after being stripped of the power you'd previously dedicated every waking hour to achieving and maintaining, is a strong premise for a sitcom. Even before you add in that your central character is dogged by failure at every turn.

Kray twins nearly beat up Ronnie Corbett

Ronnie Corbett once risked a beating from the Krays after hitting one of them in the face with a bread roll, Barry Cryer has revealed.

The 5ft 1in comic accidentally struck gangster Ronnie in the mush at a West End cabaret show. But Corbett, who died in 2016 aged 85, avoided a bruising because he was so loved by Ronnie and twin Reggie.
