Werewolf: Live. Jon Gracey. Copyright: Fran Hales

Review: Werewolf: Live

I knew nothing about Werewolf: Live going in except that the format had recently been sold to a tv company and so it'll become extremely well known very soon, and that tonight's show was set to feature Jordan Brookes, Harriet Kemsley, Bobby Mair, Alison Spittle, Tez Ilyas, Alex Edelman and Elf Lyons. I can see it working quite well on tv too, especially if carefully edited, but tonight it was only a quite good show.

Tim Minchin. Copyright: Damian Bennett

Review: Tim Minchin, Playhouse Theatre, Edinburgh

On Tuesday night Tim Minchin returned to Edinburgh, the city that arguably launched the multi-talented performer as a comedian. It's been eight years since his last UK tour and he has experienced considerable triumphs and disasters in the interim, but he's retained the philosophical magnanimity that sets him apart from most musical comics and their more throwaway repertoire.
