My entire show is about asexuality, so the origin of the poster design was to try and do a parody of the calendar girls but instead have myself being concealed by cake, cake being a very popular symbol of the asexual community. The concept was to have an image that looked as if it was attempting to be sexual but fails due to my un-ideal body type and cake covered face. The poster was designed to create intrigue as to what asexuality meant and how the show would tackle themes of sex and sexuality from a unique viewpoint.
While a striking and humorous image, I think the poster also hopefully promotes male body positivity and brings up the discussion that physicality and bodies can exist outside of a purely sexual lens.
