Njambi was raised in Kenya in a very European-focused school, so she had no real idea of the effects of British Empire and the racial tensions that exist around the world due to its legacy. Hence she calls herself an 'accidental coconut' and is depicted with striking white afro, smiling in blissful ignorance at the horrors of British Imperial rule and slavery that are represented behind her in a blood-red colour scheme.
