Introduction to Sitcom Writing
Our 'Introduction to Sitcom Writing' workshop is a day long 'entry-level' courses for people who haven't written a sitcom before.
Do you have an idea for a sitcom, but don't know how to go about writing it?
Have you written a first episode, but it just doesn't feel right?
On our one-day, entry-level course, you'll find out how to:
Construct a central character, identify their flaws and how they create plots
Construct another central character who will antagonise your first character
Introduce other characters to set up a co-dependent unit or sitcom family
Introduce external characters to challenge your family structure
Identify your characters' needs, wants and desires
Create a story arc from 'fall of man' to 'enlightenment'
And much, much more
The London Workshops are held at The Priory Arms (nearest tube Stockwell) from 10am to 6pm.
We are still recovering from this year's live showcases. The next date will be announced soon.
