Sitcom Mission 2010 audience

Regular Entry: £15. Final deadline: Sunday 28th April 2024

We're looking for 15 minute scripts with fresh, exciting characters and the potential to be made into a series.

All scripts are read 'blind' of any personal details. Once we've looked through all the scripts, we'll decide on our finalists and these will go to our live showcase later in 2024. At the showcase, actors will perform each script as a rehearsed reading in front of the audience, and industry professionals will judge the winner.

Previous winners have had their work seen by commissioners from every major UK broadcaster, as well as production companies that specialise in comedy such as Hat Trick, Endemol, Avalon, Tiger Aspect, Talkback, Roughcut, Baby Cow and DLT.

Meanwhile previous judges include: Lucy Lumsden (MD, Yellow Door Productions); Tilusha Ghelani (Comedy Commissioning Editor, Sky); Morwenna Gordon (Exec Producer for Comedy at Expectation); Tanya Quereshi (Head of Comedy, BBC); Shane Allen (Chief Commissioning Officer, Boffola - Am I Being Unreasonable?); Saskia Schuster (Head of Scripted, Fulwell 73 Productions); Andy Hamilton (Writer, Outnumbered).

Before entering please read the rules, guidelines and FAQs below. It describes exactly what we're looking for and will answer nearly all the questions you might have.

Feedback options

Two of the most useful things any writer can have are feedback and deadlines. Our competition gives you the deadline, and you can also sign up for optional feedback by selecting one of our Gold, Silver or Bronze options (which includes the entry fee)...

Note: Our feedback is there as a tool to help you improve your script and get you used to editing your own work. It isn't compulsory and won't ensure you get to the final. We're not going to reject Fleabag just because Phoebe Waller-Bridge didn't take our Gold, Silver or Bronze option.

Bronze (£40)

Detailed feedback after the competition (by August).

Silver (£60)

One round of feedback in time to re-write and enter your second draft before the deadline.

The deadline for this option was Sunday 24th March.

Gold (£100)

Two rounds of feedback in time to re-write and enter your final draft before the deadline.

The deadline for this option was Sunday 25th February.
