Perfect, then, to turn our attention to brilliant British comedy films in this special edition of our shop newsletter, and we've decided to focus on those available in HD, on lovely Blu-ray.

Big-screen spin-off sequel of the E4 sitcom following the life of socially awkward suburban teenager Will (Simon Bird) and his three friends Neil (Blake Harrison), Jay (James Buckley) and Simon (Joe Thomas). The film follows Will, Neil and Simon as they travel to Australia to reunite with Jay who is down under for a gap year. Also available in a box set with the first, and as a steelbook. Details
I'm All Right Jack - Digitally Restored I'm All Right Jack - Digitally Restored (Blu-ray)

Starring Peter Sellers and Ian Carmichael, this sequel to Private's Progress takes a satirical look at trade unions and labour relations. Upon leaving the army, upper class twit Windrush takes a job in industry. Before long he has inadvertently started a national strike, which is subsequently mishandled by everyone involved. Details
The Lady Vanishes The Lady Vanishes (Blu-ray)

Made in 1938, this classic Alfred Hitchcock comedy-thriller was arguably the director's most popular and significant pre-war feature, and one of the films that helped pave his way to Hollywood success. Featuring a whimsically suspenseful script from Launder and Gilliat, The Lady Vanishes boasts one of the all-time great ensemble casts. Details
What We Did On Our Holiday What We Did On Our Holiday (Blu-ray)

Rosamund Pike, David Tennant and Billy Connolly star in this family comedy from Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin (creators of Outnumbered, Drop The Dead Donkey and Ballot Monkeys). As Doug, his wife Abi, and their three children prepare to travel up to the Scottish Highlands for Doug's father Gordie's birthday, they fail to give their children a list of things that are to be kept secret. Withnail And I - Special Edition Withnail And I - Special Edition (Blu-ray)

This very special edition Blu-ray release of the cult classic is absolutely stuffed with extras - and the film itself has received the very best treatment, newly re-transferred from the original film it was shot on. Follow-up film How To Get Ahead In Advertising is also included, and gets the same loving treatment. Details
Eskimo Nell - 40th Anniversary Special Edition Eskimo Nell - 40th Anniversary Special Edition (Blu-ray)

Alongside Come Play With Me, Eskimo Nell takes its place as one of the most celebrated of the 1970s wave of adult (ahem) film comedies. Featuring a witty script from Michael Armstrong and directed by a young Martin Campbell years before he helmed the James Bond movies GoldenEye and Casino Royale, Eskimo Nell is a satire on the low-budget British movie industry. Hot Enough For June Hot Enough For June (Blu-ray)

British film legend Dirk Bogarde gives a whimsical performance as the unwitting replacement agent Number 008 in director Ralph Thomas's spy comedy from the early 1960s. Also starring screen siren Sylva Koscina and key character actors Robert Morley, Leo McKern and John Le Mesurier, Hot Enough For June is a comedy of mistaken identity set behind the Iron Curtain. Rosie (Lily Collins) and Alex (Sam Claflin) have been best friends since the age of six, but as they are approaching university, fate forces them to go their separate ways. Pride Pride (Blu-ray)

Set in the summer of 1984 - Margaret Thatcher is in power and the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) is on strike. At the Gay Pride March in London, a group of gay and lesbian activists decides to raise money to support the families of the striking miners. But there is a problem.
