Gabby Logan is to host a brand new series of Let's Play Darts.

Four new episodes of the pro-celebrity darts tournament will be recorded on the 17th and 18th of November at Surrey's legendary Lakeside Country Club, the spiritual home of world darts, in aid of Sport Relief.

A first series of seven episodes was broadcast earlier this year in the run up to Comic Relief, with celebrities including Bob Mortimer, Roisin Conaty, Liza Tarbuck[/z] and Lee Mack taking part.

Producers Zeppotron say: "The unique sporting event is back for the biggest and funniest tournament the world of darts has ever seen.

"Filming takes place this November at Lakeside Frimley Green, where fans will see star players from the BDO including Martin 'Wolfie' Adams, Glen 'Duzza' Durrant, Scott 'Scotty Dog' Mitchell, Deta 'The Dark Destroyer' Hedman, Bobby 'King of Darts' George, Anastasia 'From Russia With Love' Dobromyslova, Daryl 'The Dazzler' Fitton and Andy 'The Viking' Fordham join forces with a host of celebrity players from the worlds of comedy, television and sport to compete for the coveted title."

Again, each celebrity player will adopt their own darts persona, complete with nickname, costume, props and the all important walk on music.

Producers add: "The star-studded event will not only be packed with laughs and banter, but also sporting tension and genuine excitement as this highly competitive knock-out tournament progresses."

Kim Shillinglaw, Controller of BBC Two says: "Let's Play Darts For Sports Relief shows how BBC Two can take a much loved part of the channel's heritage - darts - and bring a whole new audience to it. Bringing together star players from the sport with some of our favourite comedians and celebrities, I'm delighted that we are returning for another round of this lively, entertaining series."

Pinki Chambers, BBC Commissioning Editor added: "Let's Play Darts For Comic Relief was a huge success. And I'm so pleased that we're bringing it back to BBC Two to help raise money for Sport Relief. The stakes will be high, the banter even higher and the audience can expect a load more laughs, and some great entertainment."

Ruth Phillips, Joint Managing Director of Zeppotron said: "The sport of darts is well known for its larger than life characters, dramatic entrances and electrifying atmosphere. We can't wait to capture all of this again when the worlds of darts and comedy are reunited at Frimley for what promises to be another highly competitive, but joyful event, all in the name of such a fantastic cause."

Kevin Cahill, Comic Relief CEO adds: "We're delighted that Let's Play Darts will be returning to our screens for Sport Relief 2016. This year's edition is sure to be another unmissable series, and the money raised by the show will help to transform people's lives across the UK and the world's poorest communities. The show will not only be hugely entertaining but will also help to build excitement for the Sport Relief Games events, set to take place over the weekend of Friday 18th - Sunday 20th March 2016."

Tickets are available via www.lakesidesurrey.co.uk. Over 18s only. All net proceeds from ticket sales will go to Sport Relief (after VAT and admin fees) and will be spent giving extremely vulnerable and disadvantaged people a helping hand to turn their lives around. Half is used to make a difference, right here at home, in the UK. The other half goes towards transforming lives across the world's poorest communities.
