Channel 4 has commissioned a non-broadcast pilot of a new satirical comedy series hosted by Chris Ramsey.

Chris Ramsey's Too Much Information is described as "a look back at the week's topical goings on, distilled by Chris via a constant stream of funny news stories, internet trends and so much more".

Producers at Avalon Television add that the format will include "guest stand-up, clips, sketches and audience interaction".

The programme appears to be the latest incarnation of a format that has been in development since 2011, and was most recently piloted for BBC Three under the title @IAmChrisRamsey.

That last pilot was described as "televisual social networking with Chris showing us what he likes and loathes about the web and providing his own unique humorous take on the big and small stories of the week".

A run-through ahead of the recording will take place on Thursday 29th January at the Tabard Theatre in Turnham Green, West London. The pilot will then be filmed at The London Studios on Monday 2nd February.
