Jon Richardson is working with Channel 4 to develop a new comedy format.

A pilot episode of Jon Richardson's Unpredictable will be recorded later in the month. The show is described as "a brand new comedy pilot show about the most extraordinary, the funniest and the most unpredictable questions that people ask on internet search engines."

Jon Richardson's Unpredictable will be recorded in front of a live studio audience, with the stand-up comedian joined on set by two guests.

The pilot is unlikely to be seen on television, but instead will be used by Channel 4 executives to decide whether or not to proceed with a series. It was revealed this week that Channel 4 is boosting its comedy budget in 2014.

Jon Richardson regularly works with Channel 4, including notably acting as a team captain on its flagship panel show 8 Out Of 10 Cats. He will shortly join Jimmy Carr and Sean Lock to record six more episodes of the hit spin-off 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Richardson, who hosted two series of Stand Up For The Week on the channel, has also made programmes such as The Real Man's Road Trip and Jon Richardson: A Little Bit OCD for the network.

The pilot episode of Jon Richardson's Unpredictable will be recorded on Thursday 15th May 2014 at Pinewood Studios. To apply to be in the audience see our free tickets page

On Thursday 29th May, Richardson will take part in Soccer Six, the celebrity football tournament.
