BAFTA Award

The winners of the British Academy Television Awards 2013 - aka the BAFTAs - have been announced.

BBC Three political prank show The Revolution Will Be Televised triumphed in the general comedy category, whilst Olympic Games-linked mockumentary Twenty Twelve picked up the sitcom award.

BAFTA presenter Graham Norton picked up the Entertainment Programme award for The Graham Norton Show, but lost out in the Entertainment Performance category to fellow comic chat show host Alan Carr.

The acting awards for comedy went to Steve Coogan for his portrayal of Alan Partridge in Welcome To The Places Of My Life, and Olivia Colman was selected by the BAFTA judges for her role as Sally Owen in Twenty Twelve. The latter also notably won in the Supporting Actress category for the drama Accused (Mo's Story).
