Competition to create artwork inspired by Dawn French's book

Penguin Books and Falmouth University have teamed up with Talenthouse, the leading open source creative platform and community of global artists, to invite creatives of all disciplines to produce a piece of art inspired by According To Yes, the new novel by Dawn French.

The book, which will be in shops on the 22nd October, tells the story of an eccentric thirty-eight-year-old primary school teacher from England who moves to America to work for a wealthy uptight family.

The winning artist will receive a £1,500 financial bursary; have their work showcased globally as part of the book's marketing campaign; receive, via Skype, a tutorial in their chosen field with a Falmouth University Academic; and have their work displayed within Falmouth University at which Dawn is the Chancellor.

Artists around the globe have until 6pm on the 4th November 2015 to submit their creativity via talenthouse.com

Dawn French says: "I promised my Chancellorship would be an active one, working with, and giving opportunity to, as many talented students as possible while spreading the word about Falmouth University. In partnership with Talenthouse I can't wait to see what my novel inspires in creatives around the world."
