Mike Myers apparently auditioned for the show in Series 2, but failed due to being ill and slightly off form. Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson said in an interview they regretted rejecting his audition.

Fans of Whose Line Is It Anyway are sometimes referred to as 'Whosers'

Many contestants hated the Hoedown round (in which they had to come up with a song based on a subject suggested by the audience). In fact Colin Mochrie hated it so much he would often try to get out of it - tactics he tried included 'fainting' and faking a heart attack. Coming up with an excuse to get out of the game became known as 'pulling a Colin'

The filming of each episode often took several hours - the games were heavily edited, so only the best half hour of material made it on screen.
