Digby Digworth is a hapless journalist with a knack for getting into trouble, no matter the story.

Assisted by his faithful canine companion, Hacker, the eager and ambitious Digby is sent out on the trail of a big scoop by his editor, Max de Lacey, but never manages to find it - invariably becoming a front-page disaster himself.
