Only Fools And Horses - Licensed to Drill

A special infomercial episode of Only Fools And Horses that - notably - has never broadcast on television (because it was an advert funded by the oil industry). View the full description for more information.

Featuring: David Jason (Del), Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney) & Lennard Pearce (Grandad).

Filmed in 1984, this episode was funded by the Maureen Oilfield Consortium to encourage children to train for careers in the oil and gas industry. It was shown in various schools but, notably, was never broadcast on television so most fans have never seen it before.

Interestingly, there is no laugh track on this episode as it was not filmed in front of a studio TV audience like the BBC series. It also features a different theme tune on the end credits, written and sung by creator John Sullivan.

This was the last episode that Lennard Pearce, who plays Grandad, filmed. He died shortly afterwards.

Having circulated on private websites for years, this video was first made publicly available via a Romanian video-sharing website in late 2013.
