Two tailors of differing religious and political views manage to run a tailoring business in London's Whitechapel.
Manny Cohen, a Jewish jacket-maker, and Patrick Kelly, devoutly Catholic Irish trouser-maker, are incapable of understanding each other's beliefs and are constantly at each other's throats. Nevertheless, there's an underlying love between the pair - if they can get over their bickering!
