Ross manages to steal himself away from the pub fruit machine for one minute to tell Jeremy that he might be able to organise an interview for a copyediting job in North London for him. Given that teaching work is thin on the ground at the moment, Sloane happily agrees to put his literary pedantry to good use and tells Ross to set him up with the job.

Later in the week, Robin pops to Jeremy's house for lunch and brings some brownies with her. While preparing the meal in the kitchen, an insatiable Jeremy starts snacking on Robin's treats. But when the ink slowly rises off the notepaper in front of him and the dining table starts floating away, it dawns on him that he is hallucinating and that the brownies he has eaten are laced with marijuana.

At that moment, the phone rings. It's Ross telling him that his job interview is in one hour. Realising he is in no state to drive, Robin gives Jeremy a lift to the interview. But in his stupefied state, things don't quite go to plan for the hapless Mr Sloane.
