 Producer Jonathan Pope leads his team of writers to create characters and storylines for ITV's newest soap - Echo Beach. Jonathan wants a show with intrigue and passion that will win at the British Soap Awards; Nancy wants to see the back of him; and the writers just want an end to all the changes.

 Echo Beach has been axed and so Jonathan and the team have moved on to a new pilot. They are switching from beach romance to zombie apocalypse. In an attempt to make the living dead 'sexy', the team has to bag the biggest stars and keep them happy - whilst also attempting to cover up Jonathan's blazing trail of faux pas from Nancy, who's still willing him to fail. Stunts, sex, cringes, and clashes with American execs follow as they attempt to create their zombie masterpiece: Renaissance.
