1988. Omid Djalili is a 22-year-old with a plan. A one-man show will kick-start his journey to Hollywood and within ten years his name will be in glittering lights.
Along the way, he'll find his ideal woman, too, and edgy actress Annabel looks like she could be the one. Being a critically acclaimed performer is guaranteed to impress her, but the road to fame and riches is bumpy, and young Omid accidentally falls into comedy. Literally.
