Sent to Devon by Aunt Agatha with the express task of wooing Gertrude Winkworth, Bertie finds the gates of Hell opening up when an unfortunate incident with a policeman necessitates him to pose as Gussie and charm the family of Fink-Nottle's betrothed. And then Gussie himself turns up...
