Series 1 (2009)

1. Episode One

First Broadcast: Mon 7th September 2009

Today's opening show features DIY Dan, TV's worst do-it-yourself practitioner, who tries to get to grips with putting up curtains; the Berito Brothers, a troupe of acrobats who've seen better days and who demonstrate their original take on the old "firing from a cannon" routine; and irrepressible and inquisitive Humphrey, who launches himself into a game of crazy golf with his trusty companion Woody the dog.

2. Episode Two

First Broadcast: Tue 8th September 2009

Viewers get to meet Ann Teak, a bossy antiques "expert" who thinks she knows everything about an old suit of armour; the Berito Brothers, who launch yet another ill-thought-out routine; and Packed Lunch Pete, who never quite manages to eat his packed lunch. Meanwhile, as Humphrey goes off on a camping jaunt with Woody, Gail Force deals with some fleas and Rapids Johnson is still tailing that panda.

3. Episode Three

First Broadcast: Wed 9th September 2009

Today's show stars Anna Conda, a reptile expert with an unusual look; The Lost Pirate, an out-of-place and out-of-luck pirate desperate to find his treasure, no matter where he is; DIY Dan, the ever-cheerful but incompetent handyman who tackles problem doors with predictable results; and Chip Monk, the pet shop assistant who is reluctant to sell his friends - the pets. Weather girl extraordinaire Gail Force and Humphrey are off on a visit to a children's farm.

4. Episode Four

First Broadcast: Thu 10th September 2009

Thursday's delights include Ann Teak, the bossy antiques "expert" on the trail of an old and precious jug; Packed Lunch Pete, who tries to get to eat his lunch, undisturbed, at the funfair; The Berito Brothers, jaded acrobats whose routine is interrupted by a small insect; and Rapids Johnson, champion of the natural world, who swots up on his subject at the local library. Meanwhile, weather girl Gail Force reports from the local flower show and Humphrey has his photo taken with Woody.

5. Episode Five

First Broadcast: Fri 11th September 2009

Characters featured in today's programme are: Milkshake Jake - a soda bar owner with a messy line in milkshakes; Major Boogie - a tired old tin soldier enjoying a break from routine with his friends on the toy shelf; Packed Lunch Pete - who is trying to tuck in to a tasty baguette, without much luck; Rapids Johnson - a nature enthusiast, out to record the elusive giant panda on camera; Ann Teak - a bossy antiques "expert" trying to guess the age of an unusual exhibit; and The Lost Pirate - still searching for his missing treasure and getting his eyesight checked at the local opticians to help him in his quest.

6. Episode Six

First Broadcast: Mon 14th September 2009

Naughty old monarch King Flannel tries to sneak a packet of crisps past his beady-eyed butler; Chip Monk uses all his wiles to avoid selling his beloved pets; DIY Dan, TV's worst do-it-yourself practitioner, makes a meal of putting up wallpaper; and Captain Adorable delivers a piece of heavy furniture.

7. Episode Seven

First Broadcast: Tue 15th September 2009

Captain Adorable helps out the local brass band; King Flannel is up to his usual tricks with his long-suffering butler; wildlife explorer Rapids Johnson gets closer to his target; and there's more from Gail Force, the glamorous newshound who reports on all the important local issues; and, Anna Conda, the reptiles expert.

8. Episode Eight

First Broadcast: Wed 16th September 2009

Captain Adorable "rescues" two young diners in a culinary pickle; Gail Force reports on an exciting sporting event; DIY Dan continues his hapless bodging; and The Lost Pirate looks for ways to get to his treasure.

9. Episode Nine

First Broadcast: Thu 17th September 2009

Captain Adorable hunts for some milk to save the day for two fussy ladies; Milkshake Jake scores an own goal with a football fan; Ann Teak, the bossy antiques "expert", knows a priceless, rare vase when she sees one; Chip Monk refuses to sell his beloved hamster; and Rapids Johnson has a rare day off and tries to forget about giant pandas.

10. Episode Ten

First Broadcast: Fri 18th September 2009

Packed-Lunch Pete is still determined to eat his lunch despite being challenged by some wayward pine cones; Major Boogie, the tired old tin soldier, enjoys a temporary break from routine with the Teddy Bear on the toy shelf; DIY Dan makes a mountain out of a molehill when it comes to clock-mending; King Flannel has an aristocratic visitor who gets a bit too close to some cake that the king has got his eye on; and The Lost Pirate could be close to digging up his treasure at last, after seeing off his arch rival, Bluebeard.

11. Episode Eleven

First Broadcast: Mon 21st September 2009

Today's mirthful menu features: Milkshake Jake - the clumsy milkshake maker who always manages to make a meal of things; Nana Knickerbocker - everyone's favourite pantomime dame; and Postie - who is on a mission to deliver the mail, despite some doggie distractions.

12. Episode Twelve

First Broadcast: Tue 22nd September 2009

Today's tittering titbits see Packed Lunch Pete enjoying a trip to the cinema with his lunchbox at the ready; intrepid explorer Rapids Johnson chasing his prey across town in a taxi; and quirky reptile expert Anna Conda sharing her love of big spiders.

13. Episode Thirteen

First Broadcast: Wed 23rd September 2009

Today's wonderful wheezes include royal rascal King Flannel having trouble settling down for the night; Rapids Johnson enjoying a rare night off from exploring at the disco; and inquisitive traveller Humphrey heading out with his four-legged friend, Woody, to fly a kite.

14. Episode Fourteen

First Broadcast: Thu 24th September 2009

Today's helping of hilarity includes the Lost Pirate all at sea in a shopping centre; past their sell-by-date circus acrobats the Berito Brothers put on another painful performance; and Nana Knickerbocker takes her horse, Dobbin, to the vet.

First Broadcast: Fri 25th September 2009

Today's feast of frivolity features DIY Dan in a stand-off with some wallpaper; tired tin soldier Major Boogie enjoying a tap dance with a toy knight; and Packed Lunch Pete taking his ill-fated food to the golf course.

First Broadcast: Mon 28th September 2009

Today's menu of mirth features outrageous pantomime dame Nana Knickerbocker having a run-in with a traffic warden; Wiggyville's resident superhero Captain Adorable goes on the trail of a runaway vase; and mad scientist Professor Muddles attempts to swap brainwaves with a rabbit.

17. Episode Seventeen

Today's tittering titbits include cheery Farmer Dung getting excited about some very special potatoes; so-called antiques expert Ann Teak demonstrating how security works in a museum; and Postie, continuing his mission to get the mail delivered on time, needs a head for heights.

In today's midweek wheezes, cookery expert Dina Lady serves up an unusual line in desserts; Nana Knickerbocker may have finally found her Prince Charming; and eccentric academic Professor Muddles puts his brain power to an important cause - investigating whether or not custard can survive in space.

The hatful of hilarity continues as Captain Adorable tries to make the world a clearer place by cleaning Wiggyville's windows; do-it-yourself disaster zone DIY Dan tries to put up a mirror; and newsreader Arthur Sleep continues to regale his audience with the worst jokes in the world.

Today's feast of frivolity features intrepid explorer Rapids Johnson as he gets himself kitted out for another expedition; tired old toy tin soldier Major Boogie gets in step with his old friend the toy cowboy; and glamorous weather reporter Gail Force continues with her uncanny knack of reporting on weather conditions which affect only her.
