The gang return to Manchester Medlock for another term but this time they're second year students and JP, having bought the house, is now their landlord.
There's also a new housemate - Candice, a naive home-schooled first year who doesn't even know who Simon Cowell is. Josie is now in Southampton and her absence is felt by all of them.
Howard and JP try to coax some female freshers to join their dry slope skiing society, while Vod's summer fling turns up unexpectedly. And the gang take a trip to Josie's traffic light party, which creates problems for Kingsley.
