Dear John.... - The Complete Collection

Dear John comes refreshed to DVD for all fans of great British comedy.

From writer John Sullivan (Only Fools And Horses, Citizen Smith and Just Good Friends), Dear John is a gem in the crown of British television comedy. The programme ran for two series and one special in 1986 and 1987 before star Bates fell ill with cancer, which eventually claimed his life in 1991.

The series stars Ralph Bates as John Lacey, a haphazard hero who is still suffering the slings and arrows of singledom following his wife's departure with a good friend, and salving his wounds at the 1-2-1 singles club where club-founder Louise asks everyone with relish "Were there any sexual problems?"

In series one, we see John's social life ever-expanding with social events organised by the club, and as the members get to know each other, they support one another through a wide variety of crises. In the second series they are joined by new members, Sylvia and ex-60s pop star Ricky Fortune.

Featuring the much-loved Christmas special, Dear John makes a highly enjoyable return to the screen via this complete DVD release.
