Dave Finn is blissfully trying to preserve a cockney oasis in a genteel neighbourhood, much to the annoyance of his new next-door neighbours Roger and Amanda Scott.

Our Review: A very entertaining and well-written programme, Chalk And Cheese featured superb comic performances from Michael Crawford and Robin Hawdon, as Dave and Roger (respectively). Crawford's monologues were a highlight of the show, rambling about his experience of, and take on, various subjects and situations.

However, the series was sadly light on laughs, and coupled with its unlucky scheduling during an ITV strike, the show did not return for a second series.
