In this opening story, listeners are taken back in time to 1949, when a young man, an assistant director on the film Whisky Galore!, falls in love with a local girl on the Hebridean island of Barra, where the shoot is taking place. Back in the present, 66 years later, his memories of that golden time come flooding back.
