When the Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand "Sachsgate" mini-drama fizzled away, the world in which I work was changed for ever by the c-word - compliance. I can no longer listen to programmes for reviewing purposes without them having been signed off by multiple layers of managers, especially and primarily at Radio 2. So I have not been able to enjoy the first of the returning series of one of my favourite radio comedies. I hope and imagine that this tale of a 38-year-old gamer, entirely at the mercy of his ruthless mother, will be as funny as the past two series. But whatever the content, we can, at least, be assured that it's ticked all the correct boxes.

Caroline Quentin, Simon Greenall and Andy Taylor star in this third series of the sitcom that takes a humorous, if not always well-aimed, swipe at modern technologies as they affect our daily lives. In for a kicking this series, as well as blogging, are social networks and Twitter.

Out to Lunch is followed by satirical sitcom On the Blog about a desperate frustrated 37-year-old nerd who sits around in his underpants while working at (aka playing with) his computer. Caroline Quentin provides the voice of the nerd's psychotic, ferret-killing, Czechoslovakian mother. It could have been a crass disaster, but instead it's a laugh-out-loud delight.

This amusing comedy takes aim at the many and varied idiocies of the internet. It centres on a computer nerd, Andrew Glasgow (played by co-writer Andy Taylor), who lives at home with his scary Czech mother (Caroline Quentin).

Back for a second series is a very funny sitcom called On the Blog, with Andy Taylor as a computer nerd living at home with his formidable Czech mother, played by Caroline Quentin.
